PRACTICE CANCELLATION POLICY
Practice is RARELY cancelled. If you feel the driving conditions are not safe for you to travel, please use your own judgement. If not attending a practice, as always, contact THE COACH immediately.
IF PRACTICE IS CANCELLED, you will hear directly from the Club Directors.
PRACTICE GUIDELINES
- ALWAYS TALK IN PRACTICE – when you get hundreds of teams in a facility at a time you need to be able to hear your teammates and coach. Do it in practice and you won’t have to think about it in a match.
- If you are early to practice you are ON TIME, please be respectful of everyone’s time and be punctual.
- Give 110% effort in every practice to make your game the best it can be!
- Do the little things in practice to make the big plays in a match!
- No Jewelry in practice. You can’t play with it, so you shouldn’t practice with it.
- All items brought into practice must go in one corner of the gym NOT ON THE BLEACHERS! They eat things and we spend an extra 15 minutes a night looking for the eaten items!
- Stretch as a team BEFORE AND AFTER every practice.
- Players may not wear other club or their school gear to practice. College teams are OK, you now represent your team with The Chill.
- NO MID-DRIFTS showing in practice or in travel situations!!!
- Athletes have 5 minutes (timed) to set up the nets before practice and must take them down at the end of the night. This will vary each night. Coaches can help and it should not be the same players every time!
- Conditioning will take up 15 minutes at the beginning of each practice and will be lead by either AJ or Jennifer Joseph.
- If a player misses a practice he/she needs to contact their COACH directly, preferably several days, prior to practice. An athlete may attend to another team’s practice if prior arrangements are made. A club directory will be made available by the end of the second week of practice.
PARENT GUIDELINES
- Always be positive toward your teammates, coaches, officials and others.
- If you have an individual issue or team issue and need to speak with your coach, please do so at an appropriate time. For competition, we ask that you wait until the day after the event is over and contact the coach to set up a time to meet.
- Parents are welcome to attend practice as a spectator, ball shagger, ball hander, but do not coach your son or daughter.
- The Colorado Chill club directors have an open door policy, if you need to speak with us directly we’d be happy to do so at the most convenient time for all involved.
